Marbella returns tend to be larger and more valuable than the corridor average — full villa contents, art, antiques and made-to-measure furniture rather than a few boxes. They’re also well served by backloads, because so many vans deliver here that a steady number head home with space to fill.
Typical transit is 2–7 days door to door.
Where we collect
Marbella town and the whole municipality: Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Guadalmina, the Golden Mile, Elviria, Las Chapas, Artola, and the hillside urbanisations towards Benahavís and La Zagaleta.
Access shapes every collection here, and it’s the same set of issues as deliveries in reverse:
- Gated communities almost always need the vehicle booked in with security in advance
- Hillside urbanisations often can’t take a full-size lorry on the final approach, so the load transfers from a smaller shuttle vehicle
- Underground parking in Puerto Banús blocks is frequently height-restricted, so the crew works from street level
Tell us the community name at survey and all of it is arranged and priced in advance.
Backload dates and what they save
Vans arriving in Marbella have to go home. Offer a collection window rather than a fixed day and you’re buying discounted return space — often meaningfully below what the same load costs outbound. Need a specific date instead? That’s a dedicated run, priced normally.
What it costs
Part loads from around £1,000 for 5m³, less on backload dates; a three-bed household £3,500–£6,500; dedicated vehicles £2,300–£3,300. Access at the Spanish end is the main variable. Full cost guide →
High-value contents
More than anywhere else on the corridor, Marbella loads include things that genuinely can’t be replaced: art, antiques, wine collections, pianos, custom furniture. Two things follow from that:
- Declare high-value items before the move so the goods-in-transit cover limit is right. Standard cover has limits, and irreplaceable pieces may need declaring separately.
- Specialist packing — crating for art, proper cases for instruments — is worth the line on the invoice on a 1,500-mile road journey.
UK customs — ToR1
Moving your home back to Britain? HMRC’s Transfer of Residence relief exempts your belongings from duty and VAT, but you apply before the goods travel. Selling a holiday villa doesn’t qualify — that’s not a change of residence. Full ToR1 guide →
Frequently asked questions
How much are removals from Marbella to the UK? Part loads from around £1,000 for 5m³, less on flexible backload dates; a three-bed household £3,500–£6,500 (2026 guide prices).
Can you collect from a gated urbanisation or Puerto Banús? Yes — routine here. Give us the community name so access and security booking-in are sorted in advance.
How do you move artwork, antiques or a piano? With specialist packing and appropriate cover. Declare them before the move so the insurance limit and materials are right.
How long does Marbella to the UK take? Typically 2–7 days door to door.
I’m selling a holiday villa — does ToR1 apply? No. ToR relief covers transferring your normal residence, not emptying a second property.
Is autumn a good time to move back? It’s busier than you’d expect — a lot of Costa del Sol property completes in autumn, so book ahead for October and November.
